SSS, Consular Outreach events successful in Alberta

EDMONTON — Filipinos in the Edmonton and Area were served by Social Security System(SSS) representative in Canada, Roberto V. Roldan, April 7-9, here.

The SSS outreach took place after Duterte Volunteers Alberta Canada Chairman, Benjie Lindo, made the request to answer the queries of Filipinos in the province of Alberta.

Filipino citizens living in Canada can continue contributing to their SSS which delivers sickness, maternity, disability, retirement benefits including funds for death and funeral.

“Malaki po ang ating pasasalamat kay Mr.Roldan dahil natulungan niya ang ating mga kapwa Pilipino dito sa Alberta,” said Lindo, who has been coordinating with Philippine government service agencies like the Consulate-General’s Office and SSS.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Consulate-General’s Office also conducted an outreach event.
Hundreds of Filipinos came to have their passports renewed, and also availed of services on notarials and registration for overseas absentee voting.
