EDMONTON — Changes for Hope collected its second win at the expense of the Batangas Pride, 115-79 in the 2018 Philippine Sport Association(PSA) Spring League, March 10, at the Father Michael Troy gym.
Brian Leyte topscored for CFH with 27 points while John Celeste led the losing cause for the Batanguenos with 27 markers in Division 2A.
In the other games of the tournament supported by Crosstown Auto Centre and Quickly Bubble Tea, Phenoms stopped Fine Line, 96-84 with Allan de Vera leading the scoring with 25 points; Blitz defeated SBP, 64-56 with Bon Valencia topscoring with 17 points; Tropang D downed Veterano, 97-77 with Fred Ballesteros canning 22 baskets; Gems beat PSA, 106-64 with Milo Villamor hitting 24 points; Gallery Dental outgunned Barako, 75-49 with James Paroginog leading the charge with 16 points; BRKD outscored PSA Free Agents, 74-69 with a big help from Russell Sharief’s 31-point performance and Amirax clinched its second win by besting Cameron Homes, 91-88.
PSA president Gary Perpetua said three more teams were able to beat the deadline bringing the total participants to 60 teams this season.
“It’s going to be busy and we are happy with the number of teams taking part in our tournament,” said Perpetua.
