Letter to the Editor

Dear Mr. Lito,

Greetings!

I’m Ralf, program officer at the Center for Strategic Reforms of the Philippines, the official think-tank of the Department of Trade and Industry and the Bureau of Internal Revenue in the ease of doing business in the country. Our founding president who is also the co-chair of the Ease of Doing Business Taskforce on Paying Taxes is Mr. Mon Abrea (aka The Philippine Tax Whiz).

In the Philippines, we conduct different talks, workshops and seminars for FREE related to the ease of doing business, investment, taxation, personal finance among others. We have traveled from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao even overseas for our advocacies.

I am writing you this email for a possible collaboration and partnership in one of our programs which is the Balik Ka, Kabayan (BKK). CSR Philippines aims to encourage Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to be become Overseas Filipino Investors (OFIs) and Overseas Filipino Entrepreneurs (OFEs). This is in line with the Department of Trade and Industry’s priority programs to promote inclusive growth.

Last March, the program was successfully launched in Dubai UAE with the support of DTI, Money Talks UAE, ABS-CBN Publishing, ABS-CBN TFC, among others.

Having said that, we would like to humbly seek your assistance and support in organizing this activity for our OFWs. The DTI in Canada invited us to join the PH Heritage Month Celebration in Alberta this coming June by conducting our BKK program. Our roadshow includes a seminar on personal finance, taxation, investment, etc., a sort of “Kapihan and Kuwentuhan” session with Filipino organizations/communities, business leaders and personalities, and if possible media interviews/guestings.

We are currently looking for possible partners and sponsors for this event. We hope we can collaborate and work together for our kababayans in Alberta. We will appreciate it so much if you can link us to organizations who may be willing to support our advocacy.

Maraming salamat po,

RALF LAURENCE B. BONIFACIO
Program Officer
