The Pinoys on the Parliament Committee and the Filipino Students Association at the University of Ottawa are organizing the event in coordination with the Philippine Embassy, the Canada-Philippine Interparliamentary Friendship Group, the Philippine Centre of Canada, the Office of Honourable Member of Parliament, Dr. Rey Pagtakhan and the family of the late Honourable Senator Tobias Enverga Jr.

Salumbides, who arrived in Canada as a temporary foreign worker 10 years ago, is a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Sleep Technologist in Alberta Province who, with his business partners, established a medical clinic, pharmacy, respiratory and sleep clinic in Edmonton and is currently working to expand it across the province to open more employment opportunities to Albertans.

“It is a great pleasure and honour for me to be invited,” said Salumbides.
