In the last month’s issue of the Alberta Filipino Journal, I discussed on how you will qualify your Engineering experience earned elsewhere. By now, an individual should decide the quality of his/her experience whether it will be on a Technologist or Professional Level.
The Table below identifies the different membership classification for either both ASET (The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta) or the APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientist of Alberta).
What is your First Step?
For ASET application, you must become a CET by providing the original or true copies of your third party academic assessment.
The academic assessment can be done either by IQAS (International Qualification Assessment). More information on the detailed application process can be found at https://www.alberta.ca/iqas-employment-education-licensure.aspx.
For federal skilled immigrant in Canada who have their credential evaluated by WES (World Education Services), same original copy of credential evaluation can be used for this purpose. If you choose to use the WES for your credential evaluation, you can found the detailed procedure and by-country requirements at: https://www.wes.org/ca/required-documents.
For APEGA application, you have to register online in the APEGA’s Self-Service Center and receive your ID number. Follow the instructions to continue to the World Education Services (WES) website for the next step of the application process.
Follow the instructions provided by WES in the WES website. If you already have an evaluation report from WES that you obtained before when you applied for CIC immigration application, you may need to upgrade that report to an International Credential Advantage Package (ICAP).
WES will send the completed evaluation report to directly to APEGA digitally. Physical copies will not be accepted.
The website of APEGA for account registration is: https://www.apega.ca/login/

Hey There. I found your blog using msn. This is a very well written article.
I’ll make sure to bookmark it and return to read more of your useful info.
Thanks for the post. I will certainly comeback.
I believe what you composed was actually very
logical. But, what about this? what if you wrote a catchier title?
I mean, I don’t wish to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added a headline that
grabbed people’s attention? I mean ASET OR APEGA, What is my First
Step? – Alberta Filipino Journal is a little vanilla.
You ought to look at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create news titles to get viewers to click.
You might add a related video or a picture or two to get readers
interested about what you’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it would bring your blog
a little livelier.
Cool blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A theme like yours with a few simple adjustements would really make my blog shine.
Please let me know where you got your theme. Bless you
Thanks to the terrific guide
