More than 400 supporters of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio (BBM-Sara) joined the UniTeam Rally, April 16, at the Wilfrid Laurier Park in Edmonton, according to co-organizer Benjie Lindo.
Filipino-Albertans from various towns, with the majority of the attendees from Edmonton, called for support of Bongbong Marcos, a former senator, who is running for president in the May 9 polls in the Philippines with Davao City mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio as his vice-president.
Meanwhile, supporters of vice-president Leni Robredo and her running mate former senator Kiko Pangilinan will also hold a rally on May 1 at Hawrelak Park.
Aside from Marcos and Robredo, also gunning for the presidency are Manila mayor Isko Moreno, senator Manny Pacquiao, former senator Ping Lacson and Leody de Guzman.
The vice-presidency is also being contested by Lito Atienza, Willie Ong, Tito Sotto and Walden Bello.
