QCGC co-founder turns another leaf

Quality Care Group of Companies (QCGC) co-founder Kris Salumbides turned another leaf this month and friends held a simple birthday celebration for him at the “Tahanan ni Benjie Lindo”.

Salumbides, who along with his business partners Jesse Tallon and Jacob Christian opened the first Filipino co-owned Medicus Family Health Clinic and Pharmacy in Edmonton, said he is very grateful to family and friends for remembering him.

“Just grateful, thankful. Di ko naman expect na maghahanda ang mga kaibigan ko,” said Salumbides, who came to Canada as a foreign worker in 2008 and worked his way up to become a business owner and Quality Care Group has generated employment to fellow Albertans for the last six years.

Fellow Pinoy business owners Chris Ayson of Wefix Auto and Alvin Ereneta of AlbertaLine Master Contracting Ltd. wish Salumbides well and look forward to the growth of his business in order for him to contribute more to the community.

Lito and Beng Agasino of A4 Oriental Store and Bake Shop, Faye Sales of La Bello Aesthetics, Joffrey Oloroso and his “gang” from Sherwood Park, former Filipino community leader in Fort McMurray Liz Jackson, Rolan Latorre of World FM 101.7, Lito Velasco of the Alberta Filipino Journal also graced the occasion.

Zumba mentors Manny Arban and Mariel Peralta also led the Zumba dance to spice up the celebration and Salumbides’ business partner Jacob Christian joined too. Kris preferred to render some songs to his guests, instead.
