Fr. Nilo Macapinlac: Going To Olds; But Not Feeling Old!

WETASKIWIN, July 7, 2019 – An Appreciation Farewell Dinner was organized for Fr. Nilo Macapinlac by the Sacred Heart of Jesus’ Parishioners. It was well attended by Fr. Nilo Macapinlac’s friends from different sectors, including the First Nations.

Very visible were Lito Velasco – representing the Alberta Filipino Journal, DJs Rolan Latorre and Jo-Ann Aguilar of 101.7 World FM, also known as Himig Pinoy, Fr. Silvio Lakar, a retired but not yet tired priest, ate Eloisa and husband Ron Lao, ate Josie and husband Kim Yee, ate Connie Dinaano who organized the event, Tem Limbaga and Noli Calina who are the President and Former President of the Wetaskiwin Filipino Organization/Foundation respectively. Heartfelt expressions of gratitude from different groups and individuals were delivered as forms of appreciation to the Christ-like mission Fr. Nilo accomplished during his stay in the parish.

Deus Caritas est Foundation of the Philippines also joined Fr. Nilo as he thanked the parishioners he served for a long time.

Still, he invites everyone to pay him a visit to his new parish assignment at Olds, Alberta, Canada.

Love one another as Christ loves us!

The harvest is great but the labourers are few!
