EDMONTON — Another specialist has joined Medicus Family Health Clinic and Pharmacy.

Dr.Salem Alewan is a specialist physician in respiratory and sleep medicine, according to Medicus Clinic co-founder Kris Salumbides.

“If Albertans are looking for a doctor who specializes in asthma, COPD, lung diseases and sleep problems, they can now book an appointment at Medicus for consultation,” said Salumbides.

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada has certified Dr.Alewan as a specialist in 2015 and with him coming on board, this will bring the total of specialists to three at Medicus.

Dr.Mary Jean Silvano is a specialist in diabetes, obesity, hypertension and thyroid issues while Dr. Maria Angelica Oliva is a pediatrician.

Family physicians are Dr. Rieza Zara and Dr. Jennifer Riess.
