16-year-old newcomer grabs opportunity to perform
Heart Niere is 16 and she plans to keep on singing until she’ll be the best.

Sixteen-year-old Heart Niere and her parents went to Prestige Vision Center for their reading glasses needs but that is not the story.

When Prestige Vision’s Joy Codizal asked the father, Johann Niere if his daughter can sing, the young Niere belted “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj that impressed Codizal who immediately informed his wife Eden and Elvie Chua of the E&E Entertainment about his latest talent discovery.

And so Niere, along with other local talents, took part in the Anson Chua & Friends Talent Show, July 14, at the Royal Palace. The Alberta Filipino Journal was one of the sponsors.
Niere, who has been singing since Grade 7, sang “One Last Time” by Ariana Grande, “Bang Bang”, “Skyscraper” by Demi Lovato, “Di Na Muli” by Janine Tenoso and “Jar of Hearts” by Christina Perri.

“I just love to sing. I’m a little bit nervous when performing but I love doing it,” said the newcomer from the Philippines.

“Mahilig talagang kumanta ‘yan. Kakatuwa nga dahil nabigyan siya ng opportunity na kumanta sa publiko,” said Johann Niere.

The E&E Entertainment company of Eden and Elvie was formed to look for local talents in Alberta Province and possibly give them the needed break and bring them to stardom.
