Two internationally known designers from the Philippines participated at the 15th Western Canada Fashion Week held at Mayfield Toyota Ice Palace, West Edmonton Mall last April 27,2018. Cherry Veric and Julius Tarog brought their creations direct from the Philippines to add Asian fashion in Edmonton. The Western Canada Fashion Week is on their 15 years in existence and has developed into a nationally recognized fashion and design event. The WCFW is considered the second largest Fashion Week in Canada. This is the second time WCFW has invited Filipino designer directly from the Philippines to present in the runaway show. The event promoted the Philippine fashion design talent as well as the culture and tourism to broaden the cultural experience for the audience and media.

This successful event and the promotion of the the two Filipino designers was due to Edge Grabador, the Asian Liaison and Sponsorship officer. Beside being a model, Edge who is a Filipino-Canadian was responsible in bringing international flavors to the show. A meet and greet ensued after the show for retailers to buy and order the designers clothes at Manila Grill Restaurant on Sunday April 19, 2018.
