Handugan, with friends Mike, Mitch, Lucas, Cory and Gills emerged as City Champions of the Wal-mac Billiards Championship, April 19-23, at the Shaw Conference Centre.

“Year-long league po ito, at swerte naman at nanalo kami,” said Handugan, a native of Cavite who now calls Leduc his new home. Handugan’s name got noticed in the billiards community in Edmonton when he ruled the Top Shots Handicapped 9-Ball organized by Top Shots Billiards and Ping Pong in Mill Woods three months ago.

“Naging hilig ko ang maglaro, kasi ang tatay Carlos ko, naglalaro din kasi,” said Handugan.
While working and attending to his family occupy most of his time, he also makes billiards part of his regular activities to hone his skills further. (Moses Billacura)
